I'm a fully qualified ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) licensed by the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) and CRB checked. I hold a RoSPA Gold (advanced driving) and I am an Accredited Instructor with Somerset County Council. The vehicle used is dual controlled and is fully insured and correctly maintained. I operate under the code of Practice for Approved Driving Instructors.
I'm a member of : Yeovil & District Driving Instructors Association, Motor School Association of Great Britain, Somerton Business and Trade Association and Federation of Small Businesses.
I work to a high standard and like to achieve this through targets I set, this enables me to keep from becoming complacent.
Tutoring has played a large part in my previous positions and now being an ADI I’m able to use this in a more constructive way. I pass this experience on through good diction, observation, understanding and debating.
I’ve learnt over the years that no two people are the same. I treat all my students as individuals. This makes teaching people to drive exciting and challenging.
I also teach people with many disabilities and I find this very rewarding. I feel this is down to being a good communicator and with patience a lot can be achieved.
I keep an interest in local issues and business where I live. To chill out I have a few hobbies I like to indulge in, and a good book to relax with. I am lucky to have a family that support and encourage me in all that I do and they keep me on my toes.
